Where Is Your Hope?

I put together a couple short pieces today that deal with the concept of the world system vs. God’s Kingdom.

Too many folks look to the government for their hope.

David writes in Psalm 146 (vv. 3-5) –

“Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.”

Paul says in the Book of Romans (3:23) –

“For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

I tell folks all the time he was simply echoing something that David had written in Psalm 14 (14:3) –

“They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.”

It seems like a sad indictment of mankind, but then you realize that God provided the solution in His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16). I would suggest to you not to place your hope in this world – it’s all gonna burn.

Do you know Jesus?
